About the Author
Born in a small, rural cotton mill town in North Carolina, poet-author J. Michael is the eldest of three sons. He was not a religious person then, but when he met a young girl who would become his wife for thirty-five years, everything changed. She and her family had a very satisfying church life and they suggested that he become a part of that life. So in 1973, as he became more aware of his sinful nature, he asked Jesus Christ for forgiveness and joined the Church.
The next several years of his life became very difficult. He lost his daughter, and work was often hard to come by. For a while he turned his back away from the light and struggled in the darkness. After a few years, realization came and he returned to his faith. But he became devastated again a few years after when his wife filed for a divorce. But, he was determined not to be shaken. His faith grew even stronger as he held on to God. He decided to study the His sacred words and verifies the intent of Scripture. At present, he lives in Tennessee where he is very active in the Church and is forever writing for and praising his beloved Lord.
