KESKO CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 12.12.2008 AT 09.00 1(1) Anttila Oy, K-citymarket Oy (home and speciality goods) and the other Kesko Group home and speciality goods companies are intensifying their cooperation. They are seeking synergy benefits especially in goods purchasing, management and customer relationship management. The operational efficiency project of the home and speciality goods trade is lead by Anttila Oy's President Matti Leminen, to whom also K-citymarket Oy's Managing Director Ari Akseli will report as from 1 January 2009. The Presidents of the other home and speciality goods companies (Indoor Group Ltd, Intersport Finland Ltd, Kenkäkesko Ltd and Musta Pörssi Ltd) already report to Leminen. In its operations in Finland, Kesko Food will concentrate on the food trade operated under the K-retailer business system, and on the grocery wholesale trade carried out by Kespro Ltd. For customers, the K-citymarket hypermarket format will remain unchanged, with K-citymarket Oy responsible for the home and speciality goods trade and a K-retailer for the food trade. All of the existing home and speciality goods chains will continue operating separately. With effect from 1 January 2009, the Kesko Group's primary reportable segments will be the food trade, the home and speciality goods trade, the building and home improvement trade, and the car and machinery trade. During the first quarter of 2009, Kesko will publish the comparative information in accordance with its new segment reporting structure.
