Namescape Releases rDirectory 2.4 With New Identity Management and Security Features

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - December 15, 2008) - Namescape Corporation, a leader in identity information management web applications for Microsoft's Active Directory, has released the latest product upgrade to their best selling software rDirectory. The additional features increase compatibility with Microsoft's Windows Server 2008 and advances administrative functionality, security and performance in the management of Active Directory by streamlining administration and reducing requirements in support.

rDirectory, the premier web-based advanced employee directory, is used for secure identity management, account-creation, delegation, self-service, help-desk, password management, and white-page solutions. There are two significant updates in Namescape's rDirectory 2.4 release. The upgraded web-based application now identifies Writeable Domain Controllers in Active Directory (WDOCs) which conversely identifies the Read Only Domain Controllers (RODCs). In addition, the new release now features support of Fine-Grained Password Policies for high-level configuration capabilities by enhancing compliance and unique password rules.
