HARTFORD, Conn., Dec. 15, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 12th annual Dodge Truck Northeast Fishing & Hunting Expo is coming Friday, February 13 through Sunday, February 15, 2009 to the Connecticut Convention Center on 100 Columbus Ave. in Hartford, Conn.
The 2009 Expo features hundreds of booths showcasing the latest products for both fishing and hunting enthusiasts, and is designed as a great outing for the entire family. Expert Fishing presenters include: Fly-fishing expert Dave Brandt; Robert Mead; Tom Baltz; Capt. Rich Tenreiro of TV's Northeast Angling; Capt. Bill Brown; Al Gag; Capt. Lynn Smith; Capt. Jim White; Capt. Blaine Anderson; Marla Blair; Bruce Marino; videographer Mike Laptew; Capt. John Planeta; and Capt. Bruce Millar.
Expert Hunting presenters include: Kate and Peter Fiduccia a/k/a The Deer Doctor, host of Outdoor Channel's "Wood n' Water" series; Del DelMastro; and Hal Blood.

Hands-on activities include: skill testing on a fishing simulator, fishing at a Catch & Release Trout Pond -- if you catch a tagged fish, you win a Shakespeare rod and reel, a Laser Shooting Range, and Kids' Bass Casting Competition sponsored by the Connecticut Bass Federation Booth. On Saturday and Sunday, the Sagittarian Archery School will offer free Archery Lessons.
