Advocat Announces Amendment to Debt Agreement


BRENTWOOD, Tenn., Dec. 19, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Advocat Inc. (Nasdaq:AVCA) today announced that it has amended its bank debt agreement to resolve a certain covenant violation announced with third quarter results as of September 30, 2008. The bank had previously issued a waiver of this covenant violation. The amendment changes the measurement of a fixed charge coverage ratio covenant by substituting "maintenance capital expenditures" (as defined) as a component of the covenant as opposed to substantially all fixed asset expenditures.
