Steelcase Recognized by Contract Magazine Subscriber Survey as Leading Office Environment Manufacturer

Steelcase Ranked First in Eight Product Categories


GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Jan. 6, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Steelcase Inc. (NYSE:SCS), a global office environments manufacturer, today announced that it received the top ranking in eight categories in Contract Magazine's year end Subscriber Survey.

The survey sample consisted of over 1,000 randomly selected architects, designers and facility professionals who were asked to name the manufacturer they preferred when purchasing or recommending products in various product categories. Each manufacturer was judged on the aesthetics, the reliability, the value, and the customer service associated with its product line for each category.

Steelcase was ranked the top brand in the categories of casegoods, computer support furniture, conference tables, desks & credenzas, furniture systems, movable walls, storage & filing, and training tables.
