SKF awarded new contract by Fuwa

In competition with both international companies and domestic Chinese suppliers,
SKF has been awarded a contract for supplying of seals for the trailer axle by
Guangdong Fuwa Engineering Manufacturing Co. Ltd. 

Fuwa is the largest trailer axle manufacturer in the world, headquartered in
Shunde city, Guangdong Province, China, with customers in a number of countries
in Asia, Australia, Middle East, Americas, Europe, and Africa. This 3 year
contract comes into effect 2009 and involves deliveries of 600,000 seals per
year. 

Amy Wu, Director of Fuwa, says: “We found that the SKF Scotseal solution offered
more benefits, such as the significantly longer service life time, overall high
quality, and strong performance”.

“I am very pleased with this positive result after an extensive evaluation
period, where we have proved that our solution provides Fuwa with true value
added benefits”, says Ulrich Selig, Head Truck Sales Asia, SKF China.

The seals will be produced in the SKF factory in Wuhu, China.
