Terremark Completes Deployment of Infinistructure(tm) Utility Computing Platform At NAP of the Capital Region

Expanded Availability of Managed Services Enhances Flexibility and Redundancy of Innovative IT Infrastructure, Disaster Recovery Solutions

MIAMI, Jan. 12, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Terremark Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq:TMRK), a leading global provider of managed IT infrastructure services, today announced the availability of its full suite of managed solutions at the NAP of the Capital Region (NCR) following the completed deployment of its Infinistructure(tm) utility-computing platform. Terremark's industry-leading managed services for federal government and enterprise customers, include its Enterprise Cloud(tm) services, managed hosting, and secure information services.

The availability of Terremark's full set of products and services at NCR provides a higher level of redundancy for the many customers interested in dynamic solutions to their disaster recovery/COOP needs. In addition, Terremark is addressing customer demand for an enterprise-class cloud computing offering with infrastructure based in multiple sites by adding NCR to its overall Enterprise Cloud footprint.

"Our ability to offer our current and potential customers a full suite of services from another of our world-class datacenters will only increase our already robust pipeline and provide our customers additional flexibility to customize solutions to meet their business needs," said Marvin Wheeler, Terremark's Chief Operations Officer and U.S. Commercial Business Unit President. "Offering our Enterprise Cloud services from multiple facilities enhances the flexibility of the offering for our customers and takes the idea of a 'true cloud' for IT infrastructure to the next level."

Opened in June 2008, the NAP of the Capital Region is strategically located in Culpeper, Va., 60 miles from Washington, D.C. and was specifically designed to exceed standards as a Federal data communications and hosting facility offering the ultimate in physical security. The 30-acre campus is the ideal location for government organizations, enterprises and Web 2.0 companies requiring managed infrastructure solutions engineered to meet the needs of today's power, space and bandwidth-intensive mission-critical applications or hot/warm sites for disaster recovery/COOP environments.

"The addition of our full suite of managed solutions enhances the value proposition for the many existing federal government and enterprise customers at NCR, and is consistent with our strategy of offering world-class colocation services, a premium suite of managed services and interconnection services," said Manuel D. Medina, Chairman and CEO of Terremark. "Since the facility opened, the strong demand for Terremark's world-class IT infrastructure solutions from such a highly secure and technologically sophisticated datacenter campus has exceeded our initial expectations and the facility continues to attract strong demand from both Federal and enterprise customers from areas throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the United States."

The NCR campus can accommodate up to five, 50,000-square-foot independent datacenter structures and a 72,000-square-foot secure office building. Each structure will be a secure bunker, designed to provide managed colocation space that meets the standards for sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIFs) to customers who require it.
