On January 13, 2009 Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Olainfarm Mr.
Valerijs Maligins disclosed the following previously unreleased information to
the news site www.ves.lv: 

•	Some Russian medical wholesalers are offering JSC “Olainfarm” to switch
payments from Euros to Russian Roubles. Should JSC Olainfarm agree to such
proposals the additional currency risk arising for JSC “Olainfarm” will be
included in the price of medicines to as large extent as possible. 

•	Reacting to the changing situation in its main markets JSC Olainfarm has
decided to temporarily freeze major investments in capacity raising as well as
it has temporarily suspended all activities related to starting the development
of new products. Such limitations do not, however, apply to projects and
products, development of which is already started.
