Entertainment Industry Heats Up At Licensing International Expo 2009

Fox and Universal Join Other Leading Studios and Consumer Brands for World's Premier Licensing Marketplace


NEW YORK, Jan. 14, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Licensing International Expo 2009 announced today the return of Twentieth Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising and Universal Studios to its exhibit floor June 2-4, highlighting the show's dedication to growing and enhancing its entertainment category through its move this year to Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

In addition to several yet-to-be disclosed titles for 2010 and beyond, both studios will look to the world's premier licensing marketplace to showcase such major 2009 releases as Night at the Museum 2: Escape from the Smithsonian (Fox), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Fox), Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Fox), and Avatar (Fox), Cirque du Freak (Universal), The Wolf Man (Universal), Fast and Furious (Universal), and Land of the Lost (Universal).

Joining Universal and Fox at this year's show will be all of the other major entertainment studios, including Disney Consumer Products, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products, DreamWorks Animation, Sony Consumer Products, Cartoon Network, Marvel Entertainment, MGM Consumer Products, Paramount Licensing and Chorion, with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Disney, Hasbro, and Marvel Entertainment all significantly increasing their exhibit spaces over 2008.
