Haniel has increased its stake in Celesio

16 January 2009, Stuttgart. Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH, Duisburg, informed
Celesio AG, Stuttgart, that its stake in the company amounted to 55.81
percent as of 31 December 2008. Thus, Haniel’s stake in Celesio increased
by 2.91 percentage points compared to 31 December 2007.
