Guess What Mom Brought Home? -- Engaging Picture Book Tells the Story of a Newborn Baby

EVANSVILLE, Ind., Jan. 15, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Having a newborn baby definitely brings joy into a family. But, after the oohs and ahhs are done, people wake up to the fact that this little bundle of joy also brings a lot of changes into a household. There's the feeding, the diapers to be disposed of, the waking up in the middle of the night to calm a bawling baby, and a seemingly endless list of things to do. Then there's the fact that big sister might become jealous.

Author Sandra Esche, with the appealing illustrations of Karen Davis, brings to readers the engaging story of a little girl whose baby brother was just brought home by her mom in Sh! I've Got Something to Tell You. She's not exactly thrilled by this new addition to the family. She thinks he's all red and wrinkly, that he cries a lot, and makes a lot of mess. And he looks funny. But he's her little brother, after all. Will she end up liking -- and loving -- him? Read this picture book to find out!

Full of charming illustrations and soothing pastel colors, Sh! I've Got Something to Tell You is a tongue-in-cheek tale of a little girl's reaction to her baby brother. The author uses simple words and rhyme, so this story will definitely appeal to children everywhere!
