Atlas Copco invites to press conference at 11.00 (CET)

Stockholm, Sweden, January 20, 2009: Atlas Copco will today hold a press
conference in Stockholm, regarding the appointment of the next President and CEO
of the Atlas Copco Group.

Sune Carlsson, Chair of the Board of Directors of Atlas Copco AB, Gunnar Brock,
President and CEO, and Ronnie Leten, new President and CEO from June 1, 2009,
will participate in the conference, beginning at 11.00 CET.

The conference will begin with a short presentation followed by a questions and
answers session. People participating on the phone will only be able to listen
to the conference. 

No interviews will be given prior to the conference.
