Søndagsavisen closing down four newspaper editions in Jutland

20 January 2009
Company announcement no. 02-09

Søndagsavisen closing down four newspaper editions in Jutland.

Søndagsavisen is closing down four editions in Jutland as a direct consequence
of a massive fall in the advertisement markets. This step will reduce
Søndagsavisen's circulation from approximately 2.1 million to approximately 1.4
million copies.

As a result of the closing down of Søndagsavisen's editions in West Jutland,
Esbjerg, South Jutland and Århus and a number of efficiency improvements,
Søndagsavisen has today dismissed 34 employees. In connection with its
optimisation efforts, Søndagsavisen will also reduce its circulation in Inner
Copenhagen where ad prices are particularly low as a result of the free
newspaper war.

Søndagsavisen will remain Denmark's biggest free newspaper and will in future
be published in Horsens, Vejle and Kolding as well as on Funen and Zealand.
