Lysaker, 21 January 2009 Nord Pool has received the following information from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE): Lower prices in Norway The average power price decreased in both Norwegian elspot areas last week. In Southern Norway the price decreased by NOK/kWh 0.025 to NOK/kWh 0.38. In Mid- and Northern Norway the price fell by NOK/kWh 0.016 to NOK/kWh 0.389. Higher temperatures and lower power demand in Southern Norway contributed to the decrease. The Norwegian reservoir level fell by 1.7 percentage points during week 3 to 60.7 precent. Inflow levels above normal gave less decrease in the level than last week.
