Northrop Grumman Wins Contract to Provide Software Engineering Support to the United States Army


MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 21, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has been awarded a delivery order to provide software engineering support to the Headquarters, United States Army, Europe, and Seventh Army (HQ USAREUR/7A) for mission critical defense systems, including command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) systems serving U.S. Army, Joint, Coalition, and North Atlantic Treaty Organization operations.

This delivery order was awarded under the U.S. Army CECOM Life Cycle Management Command (CE LCMC), Software Engineering Center (SEC), Systems and Software Engineering Support (SSES) Contract. The delivery order has a potential value of $71.2 million over three years.

Under the terms of the contract, Northrop Grumman's Information Systems (IS) sector will provide post-production software support to various organizations across multiple sites and locations around the world including Germany, Italy, Greece, Balkans, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Africa, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
