CLEVELAND, Jan. 22, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Critical Solutions Inc. (Pink Sheets:CSLI), the designer of renewable energy tower systems, is pleased to announce that the Company's rapidly deployable towers have been included in a contract awarded by the Department of Energy (DOE), NNSA Service Center to implement a mesh broadband network system for the Nevada Test Site (NTS). The $1.1 million Contract was awarded to Next Wave Systems, LLC and was issued as a competitive 100% small business set-aside.

Critical Solutions has been contracted to provide its Mini-Titan towers to power the MESH broadband network. The wind and solar powered Mini-Titan, is a miniaturized version of the Company's Titan tower system. The units, requested by the NNSA Service Center, will interface with existing security applications at the Nevada Test Site. The NNSA Service Center's primary mission is stewardship and maintenance of the US nuclear weapons stockpile.

"Next Wave Systems is a forward-looking, highly specialized technology company and we value our relationship with them," stated Critical Solutions' CEO James Margulies. "This is a substantial contract award for our Company that calls for up to 20 Mini-Titan units to power the mesh network and should result in upwards of $500,000 in revenue for the Company during the first half of 2009. The inclusion in this contract award once again demonstrates the versatility of our renewable energy platforms. Also, we are exploring numerous additional DOE projects of similar scope and size that are currently being federally funded."
