(Pink Sheets:IWSY) announced today that it will participate in the Army's Biometric Task Force ("BTF") prime contract to provide biometric support and services in support of the Biometrics Operations and Support Services Unrestricted (BOSS-U) program. The multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract has a three-year base period of performance with two one-year options and a total contract ceiling of $497 million. ImageWare was selected by and has teaming agreements with several of the twelve prime contract awardees as a subcontract participant.
The BTF leads Department of Defense ("DoD") activities to program, integrate and synchronize biometric technologies and capabilities and to operate and maintain DoD's authoritative biometric database. The BTF supports combat troops as they face new and ever changing challenges on the battlefield.
