SOLTEQ PLC STOCK EXCHANGE BULLETIN ON JANUARY 27, 2009 University of Helsinki (UH) has chosen Solteq Plc to renew its financial management systems. Solteq won the tender arranged by UH relating to a new SAP ERP financials, to where all the fundamental financial management functionalities are to be centralized. The value of the contract is approximately 2,8 million euros and it includes software licences in addition to implementation, training and maintenance services. Furthermore, the parties have agreed on options that allow UH to extensively implement later on also functionalities of human resources management. The background of the renewal derives from a new law becoming valid 1.1.2010 and converting UH to a Public corporation. The change also affects to the accountancy of the Universities. In addition to the accountancy, the new SAP ERP of the University of Helsinki is minding the accounts ledger, budgeting and electronic customer billing and also the cash, order and asset managements. The system also includes a travel management system automatizing the processing of travel proposals, approvals and travel expenditure invoices. Furthermore, the new system constitutes a significant role in the research project management in the University of Helsinki. The University perpetually runs over 5000 projects and the follow-up and reporting of the projects is managed by the new system. The solution is going to have altogether almost 8000 users, the majority of which using a web-based user interface."Our goal was to move over to a solution corresponding to the changes brought by the new legislation.
