Release of a notification of Voting Rights pursuant to § 26 para. 1 WpHG

AXA S.A., Paris, France, on 30 January 2009, has fallen below the threshold
of 3% of the voting rights of Lanxess AG, Leverkusen, Deutschland, and on
that day holds 2.72 % of the voting rights (=2,264,482 voting rights). 
Those 2.72 % (=2,264,482 voting rights) are attributed to AXA S.A., Paris,
France pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 6 in connection with
sentence 2 WpHG.
