(Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., received a $1.9 million satellite communications equipment order that will be deployed by the United States military to support the expansion of an existing network.
The order specified DMD2050 satellite modems and redundancy switches. The DMD2050 is a MIL-STD-188-165A modem that supports data rates up to 52 Mbps. With many forward error correction and modulation combinations, a wide variety of data interface options and dual IF interfaces, the DMD2050 is highly flexible. Designed for military and government use, it is ideally suited for flyaway, at-the-halt and integrated satellite terminal applications.
