year 2009 in Latvia. 
Riga, 13th of February 2009. Year-To-Date return for IPAS „Invalda Asset
Management Latvia“ managed second pillar pension plan with a conservative
investment policy at the moment is 2.99%. This is the highest return among
analogous pension plans in Latvia. 
“The return was achieved by various factors, firstly - the structure of the
pension plan portfolio was changed i.e. comparatively large proportion of the
portfolio is allocated within money market instruments. Also we are actively
trying to take advantage of the possibilities which are available within
financial markets in the current situation.”, said Andrejs Martinovs” „Invalda
Asset Management Latvia“ fund manager. 
Year-To-Date Return for „Invalda Asset Management Latvia“ managed pension plan
“Invalda universālais ieguldījumu plāns” is 2.95%. This is the second best
result among “active” pension plans in Latvia. 

About Invalda Asset Management Latvia
Invalda Asset Management Latvia IPAS is an asset management company controlled
by Invalda, one of the largest financial groups in Lithuania. In 2008, Invalda
acquired a 100% stake in Baltikums Asset Management IPAS, which has operated in
Latvia since 1998, from Latvian bank Akciju komercbanka Baltikums and
transferred a stake in Finasta Asset Management to the bank.  Later the name
