What Churches Aren't Teaching That You Should Know About -- The Bible Was Given to Us to Make Changes in Our Own Life, Not to Criticize Those With Sins Different Than Our Own or Who Belong to a Different Church

KINGSVILLE, Texas, Feb. 16, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- It doesn't matter whether you're a Protestant or a Catholic; the basis of our faith is the Bible, the inspired Word of God and our salvation is more than just an emotional night at a revival or perfect attendance in mass. It may be the first step, but God is expecting more from us - a commitment and as creatures of free will, we demonstrate our commitment to Christ through the daily choices we make. Catholic or Protestant: What Our Churches Should Be Teaching is an insightful guide by author Steve Childers who organizes scripture by topic and then gives his interpretation of what God is telling us through His Word.

Many Christians are frustrated because all they hear about in church are the blessings of Christ, yet often wonder why they are not experiencing them. Many churches pick and choose what they preach, only teaching about the benefits so as not to upset anyone, and in turn, hurt contributions to the building fund. The blessings of Christ are more wonderful than one can imagine, but Christians must understand what the Lord expects in order to experience His blessings. It is up to us whether we experience the wonderful promises of Jesus Christ or suffer the consequences of bad decisions following the sinful ways of man.

This book does not push the reader toward any doctrine, but only looks at scripture as the foundation of all Christian faiths. It is an honest look at how we are to act as Christians and the consequences, good and bad, of our actions. Catholic or Protestant: What Our Churches Should Be Teaching is the perfect guide on your path of maturing faith. Get a copy and see if it changes the way you look at what the Bible teaches! About the Author

The Lord will use the most unlikely of people to do His work, and I am a prime example. In college, I studied math and physics in an effort to write fewer papers, and then the Lord tells me to write a book. My first reaction was, "Are you crazy?" I do not remember a time when I was not in church or reading the Bible, but the Lord took me through a series of events that opened my eyes to scriptures I have been reading all my life, but did not understand until I was fifty. Why God called me to write this, only He knows. It is my hope that this book may help you come to understand the full picture of God's plan as outlined in His Word, the Holy Bible. Then as you make changes in your life, challenge your church leaders and work to bring about positive change in society.
