Mobile communication market opens up for biometrics - Precise Biometrics awarded 1st prize at GSMA World Mobile Congress

Precise Biometrics came in first place in the global SIMagine
competition, held annually at the GSMA World Mobile Congress - the
world's largest event for mobile communication. The awarded mobile
aviation solution is based on Precise Match-on-SIM(TM) and enables
fast-lane service using fingerprint recognition and mobile phones.

SIMagine is a global competition focusing on new innovative solutions
for mobile communication and Java cards. The competition is arranged
by Gemalto, the world-leader in digital security, Sun Microsystems
and Samsung. Last year, Precise Biometrics came in second place with
their solution Precise Match-on-SIM(TM), which enables secure and
easy authentication to any high value transaction using a mobile
phone.

- We are most pleased that the SIMagine jury once again awarded
Precise Match-on-Card for mobile phones. This year, we take the
technology one step further and demonstrate an entire solution for
airline travel - how biometrics is utilized throughout the entire
process of booking, check-in, boarding, and other services related to
travel where authentication is needed The concept is based on our
experience from the aviation industry and also developed in dialog
with Scandinavian Airlines, says Jonas Andersson, Vice President of
Business Development at Precise Biometrics.

Thomas Marschall, CEO at Precise Biometrics, congratulates his team
and comments:

- Last year's SIMagine award opened a lot of doors for us and defined
one of our most important business development areas in the coming
years; the mobile communications industry. As Match-on-Card is by
nature tied to smart cards, and since the SIM card segment is close
to 80% of the entire smart card market, this is where we want to be.
To once again be among the finalists, and actually winning first
prize, strengthens our offering and gives us valuable contacts with
industry actors.
Precise Biometrics presented a complete solution for smart travel;"BioXpress - The Queue-less Travel Experience". BioXpress utilizes
Precise Match-on-Card(TM) for automated identity check supporting
airline services through the SIM card and NFC (Near Field
Communication). It enables remote ticket purchase, automatic baggage
drop, self service boarding and baggage reconciliation. All these
services are secured by automated Match-on-Card biometric
verification to enable a fully automated passenger flow.

Precise Biometrics has approximately 20 million deployed card
licenses and over 80 milllion contracted licenses for its
Match-on-Card technology today.
