On 20th January, 2009, an interview with ELKO Group president, Egons Mednis,
was published in the BNS news agency portal, containing the following
information:

Last year "ELKO Group” had a larger turnover than in 2007.

Last year, "ELKO Group”, the largest Latvian wholesaler of information
technology (IT) products and constituents, had a larger turnover than in 2007,
the chairman of the board of "ELKO Group”, Egons Mednis, said in an interview
given to the business "Baltic Business Service” information portal of the BNS
agency.

"I think, that the total ‘ELKO Group' turnover will be larger than for last
year, however I don't want to talk about the profit now,” Mednis said,
refraining from mentioning the exact figures and adding that the audited
results for the company will only be available at the end of March.

"If we are talking about an evaluation of the last year as a whole, it should
be said that the first half of the year was successful for us, but that in the
second half of the year we felt the consequences of the severe crisis - the
results were poorer and plans were not fulfilled. This was felt not only in the
Baltic market, but on a European level. From talking with the suppliers, we
drew the conclusion that the same situation is also occurring in other parts of
the world. Traditionally the fourth quarter used to be provide a larger
turnover for "ELKO Group”, however in the last year the figures for turnover
didn't live up to expectations in all regions. This situation will also
influence the industry to a large extent in the first half of this year”"
Mednis said.

Additionally we would liketo inform you taht unaudited results for AS ELKO
Group will be published on the 9th week (23/02.-27/02.) of this year.
