              Acquisition of Secura Monde International& Shiremoor International Engineering


G4S, the international security solutions group, has acquired 100% of
Secura  Monde  International  Limited  and  Shiremoor   International
Engineering Limited, together, the  UK's leading specialist  banknote
and high security  technical and commercial  advisory companies.  The
businesses  were  acquired  from  numerous  individual   shareholders
including the management and  have gross assets  of £0.4 million  and
£1.3 million respectively.

Secura Monde was founded in 1994,  and is one of the world's  leading
technical and commercial consultancies  specialising in banknote  and
security print  technologies,  including  security  document  design,
banknote papermaking and printing,  documentary security features and
cash distribution within national cash cycles. It has worked in close
co-operation with  many central  banks,  providing expertise  in  the
management of  banknotes,  from  initial  design  to  processing  and
re-circulation. It  has also  worked  with many  major  multinational
companies  to  implement  anti-counterfeiting  strategies  for  their
global brands.

Shiremoor was founded  in 2000 and  provides specialised  engineering
services to the  banknote and high  security printing industry.   The
company has worked with commercial and state owned banknote  printers
throughout the  world to  provide  press repairs,  refurbishment  and
technical support.

The acquisition  of  these  businesses  is  a  natural  fit  for  the
development of  the G4S  strategy internationally,  increasing  G4S's
capability in providing cash cycle management expertise and  complete
cash management  consulting services  to financial  institutions  and
other customers.
