Continental Prison Systems Attends Successful NM Conference

FRESNO, Calif., Feb. 24, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Continental Prison Systems Inc. (Pink Sheets:CPSZ), a leader in cashless prison kiosk and Exit card technology, attended on January 26th the New Mexico Association of Counties Law Enforcement Conference in Santa Fe, NM. Continental had an opportunity to present its EZ Card and Kiosk products and services at a private hospitality function of over 200 participants. In attendance at the event were several county commissioners, county sheriffs, and police chiefs from the various 33 counties in New Mexico.

Mr. Ron Hodge, CEO said, "As a result of the New Mexico conference demonstration, Continental has scheduled on-site demonstrations with 4 of the county facilities present at the show."

Continental offers city and county jails of North America a number of products and services that help to streamline and reduce many of the operational financial obligations required to run these facilities. Continental has coined the tag line -- "Go Cashless to Save Cash" -- via proprietary software, teamed with customized kiosk hardware and remote secure website technology. Our goal is to help convert a jail into a 'cashless' environment through the use of kiosks for in-coming cash and a debit card for out-going cash, relieving the facilities from humans handling cash over-and-over, therefore reducing errors, mistakes and fraud. Consequently, the facility recognizes a reduction in personnel time and bookkeeping issues related to this aspect of managing a correctional facility. A Jail Commander from a Colorado Jail states, "Our staff no longer needs to collect, count, transport and physically bank these funds. We have saved hundreds of man hours per month."
