EU peacekeeping mission equipped with Tiger

The Swedish Defense Forces are expanding the use of Sectra's Tiger system for
encrypted telephony. The Tiger XS products will be used to protect national
secrets and to secure voice communications during international peacekeeping
missions such as the Nordic Battlegroup. The order from the Swedish Defense
Materiel Administration is valued at SEK 20 million.

“Many of our Tiger users have a fundamental need to protect the nation's
security and simultaneously communicate securely during international missions.
Using the same product to protect different types of sensitive information
facilitates everyday life for our users,” says Michael Bertilsson, President of
Sectra Communications.

The Swedish Defense Forces is already equipping for the next Nordic Battlegroup,
which will be ready for deployment in the first half of 2011. The first Tiger XS
products were delivered to the Swedish Defense prior to the Nordic Battlegroup
in 2008.

In every other EU country there's a Tiger
Tiger products are used in more than half of EU's member countries by
decision-makers, officials and the military to protect telephone conversations
against eavesdropping. Tiger XS is certified by the EU, NATO and many national
security and accreditation bodies, which makes it the most secure product on the
market for encrypted telephony. The user can choose to protect telephone
conversations via ordinary telephone lines, GSM, ISDN and IP networks as well as
via satellite systems. Tiger XS is also used for encrypted SMS, fax and secure
data transfers.
