A New Approach to the Art and Science of Learning -- New Book Uses a Progressive Investing Perspective in Working With Learners Who Have Been Hurt

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Feb. 28, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With all the dire reports on the state of the nation's education system, it is easy to ignore the problems facing America's public schools. As important as it is to have safe classrooms, there is a need for a scientific approach to improve how learners with poor impulse control live, learn, and think, and respond with problems. The author's approach is explained as an act to live each day and as a process to learn how to become informed.

In Education and Science, learn how children, youths, and young adults with learning, thinking, and behavior problems need to be set up -- and how the parent, teacher, student, or helper has to be prepared to help. A human systems research approach is used to explain a "Progressive Investing Perspective" on how to improve the home, school, neighborhood and workplace networks of children, youths, and young adults that have been hurt by major life events.

The words "human systems research" refers to the study of the self, other people, and the environment. With this aim in mind, the home, school, neighborhood, and workplace network is called a community-based learning system. Hence, the book looks at education in general and how a community lives, learns, thinks, and responds in particular.

The parent and child are usually mired in combat over life issues -- a field of experience that can be seen as a human ecosystem. As events unfold, they describe how the author and his team learned to help save our youth. It is the author's practice to live each day to become informed enough -- and to help move these children and parents out of crisis. For more information, log on to www.XLibris.com.
