Fagerhult acquires retail lighting company in Spain

Fagerhult acquires Fagerhult SL and Commtech Commissioning Services in Spain. 
In order to further strengthen its position in the European Lighting Industry
and to create a platform for growth in the important Spanish market, Fagerhult
acquires its distributor in retail lighting and an after sales company in Spain.
The acquisitions will have a positive effect on the full year profit per share
in 2009.

Fagerhults strategy is to be among the top three Lighting Systems providers in
Europe through profitable growth. With this acquisition we will further
strengthen our position in the important Spanish market. 

Fagerhult SL has been in successful co-operation with Fagerhult for many years
in Retail business. Commtech Commissioning Services is in the after sales market
with maintenance for lighting and ventilation.

The companies are based in Laz Rozas, just outside Madrid and has 13 employees.
The turnover is 
30 MSEK."Investments in new stores and shopping centres are increasing continuously
throughout the world. Brand profiling and increased insight in which way light
influences our purchasing patterns and behaviour have generated substantial
growth in the Retail Lighting market. Through the acquisition we will create a
business platform in the Spanish market " says David Francis, Director Fagerhult
