Canyon Acres Blue Ribbon Gala Underwriting Party to Take Place March 5 At 'The Lost World' Mansion


ADVISORY, March 2, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --



 WHAT:  Co-hosted by Jolynn Benn and Patrick Mahoney and Sofia and
        Jim Riley, the Blue Ribbon Gala Underwriting Party will serve
        as a chance for distinguished guests to hear the latest plans
        for Canyon Acres' Annual Blue Ribbon Gala. All invitees will
        have the opportunity to become underwriters. Current major
        event sponsors include TROY Group, Inc., A. Gary Anderson
        Family Foundation and Thank Goodness It's Sofia. All proceeds
        from the gala will benefit Canyon Acres Children and Family
        Services.

        This year's Blue Ribbon Gala will take place on Saturday,
        May 16, 2009 at The Balboa Bay Club & Resort in Newport Beach.
        The Jim Murray Memorial Service Award Honorees for the event
        are Patrick and Mary Dirk in the Individual/Family Category,
        Bock Communications, Inc. in the Civic/Community Group
        Category and law firm Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP
        in the Corporate Category. More than 450 guests will attend to
        raise upwards of $350,000 for Canyon Acres' programs.

 WHO:   Canyon Acres Children and Family Services has been serving
        children throughout Orange County since 1980, providing the
        highest level of care and therapeutic treatment to children
        who suffer from a variety of emotional and psychological
        disorders. Canyon Acres gives children nurturing treatment,
        and opportunities that they need to grow up in safe, loving,
        and stable families.

        Mahoney in Anaheim Hills -- featuring a two-acre garden, eight
