NEW YORK, March 3, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- British Airways today launched a low-cost airfare sale to London starting at $478 roundtrip from New York plus its popular 'Europe For Free' hotel program offering low-cost fares and two free hotel nights to seven selected cities on the European continent.
The low prices to London, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona, Prague and Athens will be available for sale through Friday (midnight EDT) March 13, 2009, and valid for travel from March 23 through May 24, 2009.
'Europe For Free' offers travelers two nights' free hotel accommodation at numerous three and four star European hotels, and has common-rated Europe (all seven European cities are priced the same) from the respective 18 British Airways' USA gateway cities. European prices vary by city but are comparable in their low rates.
The offer from Canada's four British Airways gateways provides low airfares to London only, but also offers two free nights' hotel in London. There are eight centrally located London hotels available to passengers originating in Canada.

Fares quoted above are for midweek travel; a $30 charge per direction applies for weekend (Thursday through Sunday) travel. Minimum stay is one Saturday night and maximum stay is 11 months.
