PHOENIX, March 4, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- U-Haul recently announced the promotion of Matt McFarren to District 2 Area District Vice President (ADVP). McFarren brings his proven leadership skills and management experience to his new position, where he will be responsible for overseeing U-Haul operations throughout southern California.

McFarren began his U-Haul career in May 2003 as an assistant general manager (asst. GM) for U-Haul Center Covina in Covina, California, and was quickly promoted to general manager (GM) one month later. McFarren remained at the U-Haul Center Covina for three years, and in May 2006 was promoted to marketing company president (MCP) of U-Haul Company of Riverside in Moreno Valley, California. While MCP, McFarren was a three-time winner of the prestigious U-Haul Company Dean Ross Profit Award. Prior to his career at U-Haul, he studied automotive technology and financial management, and obtained a California insurance license. Today, ADVP McFarren will oversee U-Haul operations in District 2.
