STOXX Ltd. Announces Results of Regular Annual Review of Dow Jones STOXX Grand Prix Index


ZURICH, Switzerland, March 6, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- STOXX Ltd., the leading provider of European equity indexes, today announced the results of the annual review of the Dow Jones STOXX Grand Prix Index. All changes will be effective on March 23, 2009.

Honda Motor Co. Ltd. (Japan, Automobiles & Parts, 7267.TO), Nippon Oil Corp. (Japan, Oil & Gas, 5001.TO) and Petroleo Brasileiro S/A (Brazil, Oil & Gas, PETR4.BR) will be deleted from the Dow Jones STOXX Grand Prix Index because they no longer supply or sponsor Formula One.

No new component will be added to the Dow Jones STOXX Grand Prix Index at this time.

As of March 5, the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Grand Prix Index decreased to 6.6 trillion euros from 8.8 trillion euros.

The Dow Jones STOXX Grand Prix Index measures the performance of publicly traded companies on a global basis which support or supply Formula One teams, including engine manufacturers, tire suppliers, oil/fuel suppliers and title sponsors.
