Nederman receives two orders worth over SEK 20 million from the energy sector

The two orders from the energy sector consist of one from the windpower industry
and the other from the solar power manufacturing industry.

“It's very satisfying that we can develop and sell systems to a sector that
despite the general business recession continues to perform positively. This
partly makes up for the decline that has hit Nederman's more traditional
segments, like welding and service workshops,” says Sven Kristensson, CEO,
Nederman Group.

“We have seen that more and more countries are investing in building up
industries for alternative energy producing products. Over the past few months
we've received similar orders from Norway and Singapore for silicon wafers for
the solar industry,” he concludes.

The order for extraction systems to the wind power industry is worth around SEK
11 million. The systems will be installed in Brighton, USA and go into operation
in 2009.
The order includes a number of complete high vacuum systems for capturing and
filtrating particles that form when machining composite material.
The rotary blades of the wind turbines are made from composite material.
Composite is used more and more in this type of manufacturing, such as cars,
boats, aeroplanes and tanks.
The other order is from the solar power manufacturing industry and was received
by Nederman Iberica. It is worth around SEK 9.5 million. The customer is Silicio
Solar S.A. in Puertollano, Ciudad Real, Spain, which is owned by Pillar JSC, a
Ukrainian producer of silicon wafers.
The order includes over 20 separate installations of high and low vacuum
extraction systems needed for a new eco-friendly plant.
