VINX Index Information: Adjustment of VINX30 and VINX Benchmark due to rights issue in Nordea (08/09)

The board of Nordea has proposed that an Extra General Meeting (EGM), on March 12, 2009, approves a rights issue. The scheduled record date is March 17, 2009. Provided that the EGM approves the proposed rights issue, NASDAQ OMX Stockholm will carry out an adjustment of VINX30 and VINX Benchmark index in accordance with the ”Rules for the Construction and Maintenance of the NOREX Exchanges´ Tradeable, All-Share, Sector and Benchmark Indexes” rule 5.3 and 5.1 

The adjustment will lead to an increase in the number of Nordea Bank AB (NDA SEK, SE0000427361) shares in the VINX30 and VINX Benchmark index, according to the terms of the rights issue (11:20, SEK 20,75), as from the Ex date March 13, 2009. Due to that the newly issued shares do not entitle to the proposed dividend of EUR 0.20, the proposed dividend is added to the issue price in the formula for the adjustment factor. Conversion from EUR to SEK will be made by using The World Market Company (WM) rate 16.00 (GMT), March 12, 2009. The current number of shares for Nordea in VINX30 and VINX Benchmark index is 1 820 075 758. After the adjustment the number of shares will be increased to 2 821 117 425. Due to the adjustment the VINX30 and VINX Benchmark index divisor will change on the Ex date.
