Board changes at DEUTZ AG
Executive Board reduced to three members
Dr Margarete Haase appointed Chief Financial Officer
Against the backdrop of the unsettled economic environment, the Supervisory
Board of DEUTZ AG today decided at its ordinary meeting to reduce the size
of the Executive Board from four to three members. For this reason, the
Executive Board members Karl Huebser, 62, and Helmut Meyer, 59, will be
stepping down from the Board by mutual agreement with effect from 31 March
2009.
Following Mr Huebser's successful reinforcement of the company organisation
within the Asia region, the Supervisory Board has decided that Mr Huebser's
function no longer needs to be exercised at Board level.
The Supervisory Board has appointed Dr Margarete Haase as the new member of
the Board. She will be assuming responsibility for the Finance, Human
Relations, Investor Relations and Service Departments with effect from 1
April 2009.
Dr Haase is an experienced financial expert. Since 1987 she has held a
variety of senior management positions within the Daimler Group, inter alia
at DASA, as Finance Director of the Berlin Engine Works and latterly as a
member of the Board at Daimler Financial Services AG.
The Supervisory Board thanks Mr Huebser and Mr Meyer for their commitment
and dedication and wishes all the best for their future.
