Author Barbara Carey was born on one of the beautiful islands of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. She graduated from college with a degree in education. Later, she continued her studies at the College of the Bahamas Evening Institute, where she completed many secretarial, business and management Courses. Barbara taught for more than ten years in elementary education, and later she went on to serve as an executive secretary, before becoming an administrator for public service.
