Primary placement auctions of Latvian Government debt securities


In order to place Latvian Government Treasury debt securities competitive       
multi-price auctions will be run on NASDAQ OMX Riga on March 18, 2009.          
On March 19, 2009 NASDAQ OMX Riga will run tap issues; the fixed rate set by    
State Treasury will be published on NASDAQ OMX Riga webpage after the           
competitive auctions.

The settlement date for competitive auctions  and tap issues is on March 20,    
2009.
