eGames Serves Up Burger Island(r) to iPhone

Nintendo Wii Version of Hit Casual Game Franchise to Follow

LANGHORNE, Pa., March 16, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Casual games developer and publisher eGames, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EGAM) today announced the launch of the company's first iPhone game, Burger Island: Burger Bash, a new edition to the award-winning Burger Island(r) casual game franchise. Available now on Apple's iTunes and App Store for $1.99, the game complements pre-existing PC and Nintendo DS versions of Burger Island, with a Nintendo Wii version of the burger-flipping puzzler arriving later this spring.

"When we made the decision to create our own internal properties, one of our goals was to create a franchise that successfully spanned multiple platforms," said Rich Siporin, eGames Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "With the introduction of Burger Island: Burger Bash on the iPhone and the forthcoming Wii version, we are extremely pleased to meet that objective and open the door for more iPhone projects."

Introduced by eGames in 2007 as a PC casual game title, Burger Island kicked off the company's strategy to develop proprietary titles completely from the ground up. eGames followed the PC version earlier this year with a Nintendo DS edition published by Destineer Studios, and a PC sequel, Burger Island 2: The Missing Ingredient. Tentatively scheduled by Destineer for a spring release, the Wii version of Burger Island represents eGames' continued plans to expand internally-developed properties across multiple platforms.

"We are excited to introduce the Burger Island franchise to the iPhone community," said eGames Product Manager Greg Zesinger. "We look forward to bringing even more of our proprietary titles to the platform in the future and are planning new Burger Island games featuring fries and shakes," said eGames Product Manager Greg Zesinger.
