Exergy Fuel Cells Concludes Partnership with Russian Federal Nuclear Center

The Morphic subsidiary Exergy Fuel Cells has initiated a partnership with the
Russian Federal Nuclear Center (RFNC) on development and delivery of fuel cells.
So far, Exergy Fuel Cells has delivered fuel cell stacks to one of the JSC
Gazprom sites

So far, Exergy Fuel Cells while using the International Science and Technology
Center mechanisms has delivered fuel cell stacks with proton exchange membrane
(PEMFC) to RFNC-VNIIEF, where on basis thereof a stand-alone 6kW power plant is
being developed and made ready for putting into operation at one of the JSC
Gazprom sites. Toward this end, Exergy and RFNC-VNIIEF have been jointly
developing power electronics. The fuel cell-based power plant is a stand-alone
unit that converts simple gases, e.g. methane, into hydrogen and thanks to the
fuel cell generates electric power for consumer needs while or where the grid is
not available. The stack at RFNC-VNIIEF has been operating successfully, and
discussions are now underway on delivery of other types of stacks and systems
for various purposes.

“RFNC is one of the world's leading developers of energy technologies. We are
very proud of our partnership with RFNC. The amount of interest in our systems
point to the strength of our offering,” Martin Valfridsson, President and CEO of
Morphic Technologies AB, says.

The Russian Federal Nuclear Center is Russia's largest development center for
defense and civil research. The center was founded in 1946 and has been playing
a vital role in building up Russian expertise in nuclear technologies and
energy.
