COSTA MESA, Calif., March 24, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that its LightPulse(r) Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) and LightPulse Fibre Channel Converged Network Adapters (CNAs) are supported in the latest SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 release from Novell. With SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11, end customers deploying Emulex HBAs or CNAs can now leverage virtual port (VPort) technology, so each virtual machine (VM) running on a server can independently access its own protected storage. Additionally, the Emulex LPe12000 family of 8Gb/s HBAs deliver the highest dual-channel I/O throughput and CPU efficiency, translating into increased performance and reduced power consumption.
