KONECRANES TO SUPPLY EIGHT RTG CRANES TO IVORY COAST

Konecranes to supply eight RTG cranes to Ivory Coast

In February 2009, Konecranes received an order for eight rubber tired gantry
(RTG) container handling cranes from Bolloré Africa Logistics, a branch of the
French Bolloré Group. The RTGs will be delivered to the customer's terminal
Société d'Exploitation du Terminal de Vridi (SETV) in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and
delivery will start in March 2010. The parties have agreed not to disclose the
value of the order.

Bolloré Africa Logistics is the first integrated logistics network in Africa.
It is a leading player in the stevedoring business and operates the SETV
container terminal in Abidjan, wherein the recently ordered RTGs will be
operating. In 2008 Konecranes supplied eight RTG cranes to the same terminal.

The recently ordered RTG cranes are identical to the ones delivered to SETV in
2008. The 8-wheel RTGs are fully electrical and hydraulic-free. They are
equipped with Konecranes autosteering system with container positioning and an
interface to the terminal operating system. They also have Konecranes crane
management system that ensures safe and uninterrupted use of the cranes. The
RTGs ordered have a lifting capacity of 40 tons and can stack one over five
containers high and seven wide plus a truck lane.

“Bolloré Africa Logistics launched a new investment program to give the best
productivity to the customers of the Abidjan container terminal. This program
will increase the storage capacity at the terminal with 22,000 TEUs and will
allow SETV to handle nearly 800,000 TEUs a year. Through this plan, Abidjan
Port wishes to reinforce its leadership in the subregion,” says Lionel Labarre,
Area Manager, Bolloré Africa Logistics.

“This order is another good example of a long-term relationship between our
customer and Konecranes,” says Antoine Bosquet, Sales Manager, Port Cranes at
Konecranes. “This is Bolloré Africa Logistics' second order for our RTGs and it
brings the total number of Konecranes RTGs in their terminal to 16 units.
Bolloré Africa Logistics is a major player in ports in Africa and we are
pleased to see that it had confidence in Konecranes for this new order.”
