More Than 41 Million Unique Visitors Spur 21% Increase in Year-Over-Year Audience Growth


REDMOND, Wash., March 31, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- For the ninth consecutive month, msnbc.com beat both CNN.com and Yahoo! News and was named the #1 Current Events and Global News Site according to Nielsen Online. In February, msnbc.com attracted more than 41 million unique visitors as consumers turned to the site for a fuller spectrum of news, including expansive coverage of the economy, political insight and analysis, lifestyle news and features and the latest sports updates. February marked msnbc.com's biggest lead in unique visitors over CNN.com -- more than 14% -- since August 2008.*

    a 14% lead over CNN.com (35.9 million) and 10% more than Yahoo!
