NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE IN HOLDINGS UNDER CHAPTER 2, SECTION 9 OF THE FINNISH
SECURITIES MARKET ACT 

YIT Corporation has on April 3, 2009 gained knowledge of notification under the
Finnish Securities Market Act stating that following a share transaction on
April 3, 2009 holdings of Suomi Mutual Life Assurance Company has decreased to
below 5% of YIT Corporation's shares and votes. The company holds a total of 6
184 119 YIT shares which equals to 4,86 per cent of YIT Corporation's shares.
