ARQUES sells Swiss printer, weberbenteli, to financial investor and
management
* Buyers to continue operational development of weberbenteli in challenging

Starnberg, April 03, 2009. ARQUES Industries AG (ISIN DE0005156004),
Starnberg, has sold the Swiss printer, weberbenteli (Biel). The parties are
bound to secrecy concerning the terms of the transaction. The buyer is the
private equity company, ValueNet Capital Partners, Munich, who will
actively continue the restructuring and operational development of the
company with the existing management. ARQUES has already recognized the
relevant impairment losses resulting from the transaction for fiscal year
2008 in the preliminary figures published on March 12, 2009. Furthermore,
no additional impairments incurred for the past fiscal year. By way of this
transaction ARQUES has initially completed the concentration of the
portfolio on specific industries and enterprises necessitated by the
difficult economic environment.
ARQUES acquired Farbendruck Weber in August 2006. The current company,
weberbenteli, has been developed in June 2008 (revenues 2008 approximately
EUR 50 million) by way of a merger with Benteli Hallwag. weberbenteli
offers customer-oriented overall solutions in the printing segment and
particularly high-quality print products. The media pre-press, cross media,
web offset and sheet offset printing, as well as finishing segments are
absolutely state of the art.
