What Can You Do to Protect The Battered Shield of Faith? -- New Book Looks Into the Truth of the Skeptic Mindset That Lives Within Each of Us

EDMONTON, Alberta, April 6, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- People from all walks of life have their own beliefs. Even agnostics or atheists adhere to their beliefs in disbelief, in nothingness. For devout believers, will our unproven conception lead us to salvation? Is believing in the unseen more rewarding than actually seeing what you believe in? Author Shaun McIntosh bares the controversial aspects of spiritual skepticism as he exposes the cynical persona within us. Follow an edifying religious odyssey into the very heart of hell itself, The Battered Shield of Faith.

A result of a life journey, McIntosh cleverly and boldly presents hard questions that test the faith and the strength of our vulnerable souls. He pinpoints the advent of scientific theories to explain human existence as one of the factors for the eroding number of believers. Moreover, books and other articles written by biblical scholars present an erroneous theory about Christianity, with the premise that the New Testament has been changed according to the ulterior motives of those who altered it.

He establishes the reality of the Christian mind through a detailed narration of his past encounters, and brings more painfully shocking spiritual discoveries and truths about the cynical mindset that gradually poisons our hearts and souls. About the Author

Growing up in a staunchly Christian home, author Shaun McIntosh became born again at the young age of four. Being surrounded by devoutly Christian friends and family, he quickly learned the fundamentals of the faith and incorporated them into his daily life. School presented little spiritual challenge for him and the objections of his classmates showed themselves as being lacking. But in college, that all changed. Suddenly the tools that had worked so well in high school were no longer adequate. This prompted a journey of discovery into himself, life and the faith. The result of which he brings to you now.
