Autoliv Honored by Daimler

(Stockholm, April 6, 2009) - - - Autoliv (NYSE: ALV and SSE: ALIV), the
worldwide leader in automotive safety systems - was recognized by Daimler AG,
and its Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans division, as one of the winners of the
automaker's Supplier Awards 2009. The honor recognizes top suppliers in five
different categories for their performance during the past years. This is the
first time since 2007 that the awards were presented.

Autoliv receives Daimler's Supplier Award 2009 in the “Interior” category for
its “development expertise and highly constructive cooperation with Daimler AG”.
The Award is an acknowledgment of Autoliv as  “technological pioneers in
occupants protection systems, driving assistance systems and active safety
systems”.

Peter Koppe, Vice President Global Business Unit Daimler, received the award on
behalf of Autoliv. “We are very honored to receive this award from Daimler and
we would like to thank Daimler for recognizing the contributions that our
employees make towards its success” said Mr. Koppe.  

Daimler's supplier network foundation is based on four pillars: Quality,
technology creativity, cost and supply and Autoliv is committed to top
performance in these areas. In addition to these pillars, there are now three
more categories added Daimler's valuation of suppliers: Fairness, reliability
and trust.
