Northrop Grumman to Highlight Integrated Cyber Technologies At U.S. STRATCOM 2009 Cyberspace Symposium

RESTON, Va., April 7, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will demonstrate integrated cyber technologies that help protect the nation's cyber domain at the U.S. STRATCOM 2009 Cyberspace Symposium sponsored by the Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA) International.

The theme for this year's symposium, which is being held today and tomorrow at the Qwest Center, Omaha, Neb., is "Advancing cyberspace capabilities to deliver integrated effects." Northrop Grumman will exhibit at booth number 211.

"Protecting our nation from the ever growing threat of cyber attacks is paramount," said Robert Hinson, Northrop Grumman corporate lead executive for the Nebraska Region. "Northrop Grumman is on the forefront of this challenge, partnering with government, commercial entities, and academia to provide innovative solutions that effectively defend our networks and offer protection across the entire cyber domain."

A key focus at the Northrop Grumman booth will be a demonstration of its Integrated Cyber Command Center (IC3). IC3 is a cyber network operations and information assurance platform for display, command and control, and manipulation of disparate applications that are commonly used to conduct cybersecurity. The technology couples best-of-breed commercial products with Northrop Grumman-developed software to provide improved cyber situational understanding. The interactive nature of the system, data integration, and cross-domain capabilities of IC3 makes it a viable solution to manage numerous points of defense and respond to current and emerging cyber threats.

Northrop Grumman will also feature its Interim Gateway presentation, a five-minute video covering the history of the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) payload, and its demonstration phase through today's current fielded operations.
