In response to rumours circulated by a UK publication about an ongoing sales
process relating to A/S Det Kjøbenhavnske Reassurance-Compagni (Copenhagen Re),
Alm. Brand hereby states that Copenhagen Re has been in a run-off process since
the company ceased writing new business following the attack on the World Trade
Center in September 2001.
Since September 2001, Alm. Brand has regularly assessed the strategic
possibilities for the future ownership of Copenhagen Re, which could include a
sale, depending on price, terms and conditions. No decision has been made in
this respect.
Alm. Brand will not delay making an announcement to investors and the public
should an agreement be made to sell Copenhagen Re.
